I’m Layla! A South African photographer now based in Portugal, creating emotive, story-driven imagery for people, brands, and capturing the moments that matter.

To me, photography is about more than just taking a picture. It’s about feeling something when you look back. I love being able to freeze a moment, capture the way something felt, not just how it looked. I get to meet incredible people, hear their stories, and help them feel seen.

My world is shaped by the things I love: the books that teach me something new, the films and music that move me, and everyday beauty. I believe there’s art everywhere and I carry that into how I shoot, see and connect.

I create space for people to just be themselves. My work is filled with love, intention, and a touch of nostalgia. If you value connection, emotion, and storytelling, we’ll get along just fine.
